Wild stormy day…

such a wild day for weather.. we were under the gun for severe storms and a moderate threat of tornadoes… and these storms defintely packed a punch.. even though we didn’t have tornadoes.. but other counties did..but these are the pictures i got and i will post a couple of videos in another post of the lightning of the aftermath of the storm.. but the pictures at the end are called Mammatus Clouds and here’s an explanation for them that i found on the internet…  ((((Mammatus are pouch-like cloud structures. They’re also a rare example of clouds in sinking air– most clouds form in rising air. Although mammatus most frequently form on the underside of a cumulonimbus, they can develop underneath cirrocumulus, altostratus, altocumulus and stratocumulus.))))
