this article is really great about how to attract different birds to your backyard to get them to eat peanuts and birdseed… i love watching the bluejays and even our one little woodpecker come to get the peanuts.. we have up to 4 bluejays at one time or another on our porch… it’s really great for picture taking too.. especially if you can get a close up.. here’s the link to the article :

TN Waterfall Tour
well we visited the Cumberland Mountain State Park again.. Cumberland Mountain State Park and we went on the other hiking trail to see the bridge and waterfall again… and we hiked a pretty steep downward trail to get to the bottom of the bridge/waterfall.. and it was so worth it! here are the pictures to prove it!

We went to the Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, TN (my hometown) and we went on an adventure today.. got some wonderful and beautiful photos of the bridge and the waterfall that flows from it.. and there is an old homestead house (link of the history of the houses) Cumberland Homesteads …. and it was quite an adventure for sure.. would i go back.. um yes like thousands of times… so quite and surreal there… beautiful… thank you Lord!
Yes we officially had snow last week… TN’s weather has been warmer than usual this winter and we have had NO snow at all. so it was really nice to see it finally.. i don’t like driving in it though cause i’m a sloooowwwww driver and don’t wanna wreck (yea i’m an little old lady driver even though i’m 34 lol) but anyways.. here is a picture of the snow at my aunt’s house.. it sure was pretty to see…

So I’m really excited about this pictures that I captured this week…
- the first one is the nuthatch.. he is such a sweet little bird.. he’s too adorable…
- the second one is the red bellied woodpecker.. been waiting for this picture for like ever! he’s totally adorable!
- and last is the chickadee.. this bird.. he pulls at my heart strings… he has this very distinctive call.. sounds like “Hey Sweetie!” .. totally adorable!

oh mr. cardinal.. you sure are a handsome bird… we really love watching the birds every day.. i make sure i go out as soon as i get up and put the bird seed on the rail.. and then watch and wait for them to show up.. we have all kinds of birds.. cardinals, chickadees, bluejays, and even woodpeckers! they bring such a joy to watch.. and it’s so awesome to know that God created these little babies… each and every one.. brings tears to my eyes.. the same God that created these birds is the same God who loves us so much that he created us so we can accept Him in our lives and live with Him for forever… I just love it!
