okay so we went to the park.. it has rained for 2 days straight and we received i think almost 5 or 6 inches…and that made the water overflow at the cumberland mountain state park bridge.. and it was beautiful! and also we happen to see a family of geese.. it was the sweetest thing.. they were taking their babies for a practice swim.. it was so precious…
and a video too!!!!
well we went to hike today (well a little hike) and we went to the house and took pics of the waterfall.. well we discovered a little off trail behind the house so we went for it… and made to the end which wasn’t too far.. but it was an adventure.. well on the way back there was these 3 huge logs blocking the path so i went ahead of my hubby and i took a step up on the first log and in a matter for a few seconds.. down i went! fell hard on the ground! yikes! now I’ll be sore for awhile! not fun at all! maybe I’ll lay off the hiking for a while and just take pictures of other things… who knows… oh and yes i got a tick on me today… thank goodness it didn’t bite! but ticks already! sheesh! oh well here’s the pictures i got today!

Long weekends are great, but sometimes laying in bed and making brunch reservations and going to the same Happy Hour can get absolutely boring. Which is why we made the PERFECT waterfall weekend in Middle Tennessee, the best places to go, how to get there, and even a couple of restaurants to round out the week. Ready to head out and explore?
You can find a map and all addresses for our weekend itinerary, here.
all i can say is WOW! this hike was totally insane!!!! it was a steep incline and then climbing back up was worse.. i’m just not use to it i guess… but there was such amazing beauty through this hike… if you love to hike.. then this is worth the trip… there is like 2 waterfalls.. the upper piney and the lower piney.. we could see the lower piney falls more.. and it was breathtaking.. wish there was a way to have seen the upper one but i wasn’t going to spend all day looking.. but here is the pictures from our trip.. enjoy!
me and the hubby went to ozone falls today an hiked down to the bottom of the falls (also known as the gorge) well it was quite the accomplishment.. having to basically rock climb down and then rock climb up (something i’ve NEVER EVER done before!) but in the end it was worth the trip.. if you ever are in tn and want to take a trip here.. it’s worth it! (note: this waterfall along with fall creek falls was the locations used for the live action “jungle book” that came out in the 90’s! pretty cool huh? here’s the pictures of our adventure!
This would be the coolest places to visit.. I’ve been to #4 .. Have you been to any of these places? These would be some great picture taking moments for sure.. Check link below:
This looks like this would be a fun idea to travel to all the waterfalls of the state of TN.. Can you imagine the pictures to take! Oh man!…. Check out the link below!
well we visited the Cumberland Mountain State Park again.. Cumberland Mountain State Park and we went on the other hiking trail to see the bridge and waterfall again… and we hiked a pretty steep downward trail to get to the bottom of the bridge/waterfall.. and it was so worth it! here are the pictures to prove it!
We went to the Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, TN (my hometown) and we went on an adventure today.. got some wonderful and beautiful photos of the bridge and the waterfall that flows from it.. and there is an old homestead house (link of the history of the houses) Cumberland Homesteads …. and it was quite an adventure for sure.. would i go back.. um yes like thousands of times… so quite and surreal there… beautiful… thank you Lord!
